Third Annual Fremont 5Km - June 4th, 2023
The Second Annual Fremont 5KM run is set to kick off on the morning of June 4th, with a scenic route along the Traboulay PoCo Trail and the Freemont Village neighbourhood. Put on by Permack and Associates, a team of local Realtors, who have strong ties to the community. Permack and Associates Realtor Sonia Lagiglia, a Port Coquitlam native who works primarily in the area says, “We had a great time last year, with an incredible turnout. We’re looking forward to doing it again this year!.”
Permack and Associates team leader and founder, Rebecca Permack, will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the run back to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, which directly benefits The Tri-City Transitions Society, located in Port Coquitlam. The Tri-City Transitions Society provides essential services to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. “All of the fundraising we do benefits the Tri-City Transitions Society, and we are so proud to be in the top 1% of donors this year to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation,” says Permack. “This run is the perfect way to raise funds and have a little fun doing it!”
The Fremont 5KM is going into its third event year, and has joined forces with local gym Function Health Club and Nice Life Cocktails. “Port Coquitlam truly has the best events. We’re excited to keep growing this one, and it was such a great turnout last year,” says Permack and Associates’ Steph Wagner. “This year’s event is sure to be a hit, and we’re really looking forward to it!”
Tickets are available through Event Brite, and are $25 for adults and $15 for children under 12, and an after party only option for $20. The entry fee includes a finisher’s medal, a beverage from Nice Life Cocktails and a donation to The RLP Shelter Foundation.
